Member communes of the SICA

The SICA (SYNDICAT INTERCOMMUNAL POUR L’HYGIENE PUBLIQUE DU CANTON DE CAPELLEN) was established in 1958.
Their main task was to ensure the collection of the residual waste in the associated communes. In 1969 the SICA included the new scope of duties, the collection of bulky waste and the street-cleaning.
From 1992 on, mostly due to the introduction of the green bin for organic waste and the composting station in Mamer, there have been constant alterations inside the SICA in order to provide the best service possible in the domains of waste disposal and recycling.
Our team is always anxious to achieve the highest possible standards in terms of quality and service.
A committee presides over the SICA and take all the important decisions regarding the syndicate and its activities. The committee consists of 15 deputies from the member communes.
